Review: Supernaturally by Kiersten White

Author: Kiersten White
Release Date: July 26,2011
Publisher: HarperTeen

Synopsis
Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.
But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.
So much for normal.

There are so many things to love about Supernaturally I'm not sure where to begin!  Evie is finally living her dream of a normal life, lockers and all; however normal can't last forever.  Six months after leaving the IPCA Evie finds herself  face to face with Raquel, the woman who was the closest thing she had to a mother and who deceived her.  Unfortunately for Evie Raquel isn't the  only "person" reappearing from her past.  Reth, the fey whose intentions are never clear, starts to reappear.  Soon Evie's "normal" life begins to resemble the drama of Easton Heights with a whole lot more paranormal activity.

Supernaturally is a fantastic second novel in a series that promises to bring paranormal to a whole new level.  I love Evie's sassiness with Reth and the new characters introduced.  The banter keeps the story moving at a great pace and demonstrates Kiersten White's sharp wit. The characters you were introduced to in Paranormalcy continue to grow creating a richer, deeper tale.  Evie may live in a paranormal world but her struggles parallel with the experiences of most teenagers.  The story has such a  unique look at the paranormal world including not just vampires, werewolves and fey but elementals, slyphs and things still yet to be defined.

This book is a must read for lovers of all things paranormal as well as those just looking for a great read!

Haven't read this series yet but everything about it sounds awesome... especially Evie. I just love her already from what I've read and it seems everyone else does too.
